Western Style Chopped Salad
INGREDIENTS
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1-1/2 cups (6 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Reduced Fat Colby-Jack Cheese, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup diced fully cooked ham
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pitted kalamata or ripe olives
- 1/2 cup low fat croutons
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onion or chopped chives
- 1/2 cup light vinaigrette or Italian salad dressing
DIRECTIONS

Combine lettuce, 1 cup cheese, bell pepper, ham, olives, croutons and green onion in large bowl.

Just before serving, add dressing; toss lightly to coat. Transfer to serving plates; top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Serve with freshly ground black pepper if desired.
